Activities
Have a look here if you are interested in wine, cookery courses, horseback riding, golf, truffle hunting and local festivals & markets. This is a taste of what’s on the local menu:
Wine
Villa Mucci is surrounded by vineyards and Agliano is known Internationally as one of the best areas for the Barbera grape.
Having made wine here for a number of years we know the local wine business, and would be more than pleased to help you with your arrangements to visit local winemakers for private tastings. We are also happy to arrange for wine tastings at Villa Mucci.
From Agliano it is an easy drive to the great producers in Barolo and Babaresco and we would be pleased to suggest the best itineraries for your trips.
Cookery Courses
We offer tailor-made cookery courses to suit your needs. We have three highly qualified local chefs at our disposal to run short cookery courses. Learn to cook Italian and traditional Piemontese dishes – and enjoy the result right away!
Horseback Riding – or Quad bike
We can arrange horse riding through the vineyards. Riders of all levels of competence are catered for… it’s great fun and a wonderful way of experiencing the beautiful countryside.
You can also rent quad bikes (4 wheel motorcycles) and explore the area off-road. Great fun for both grown-ups and kids! No previous experience needed.
Eataly
Foodies should consider driving from here on the autostrada for a little under an hour to Lingotto and the converted old Fiat factory. The super Eataly shops and restaurants offer everything a true foodie desires all under one roof… worth a visit .

Sport
Piedmont is one of the few Italian regions where it is possible to practise almost any sport. A wealth of opportunities are available, above all at amateur level. An abundance of opportunities for both off-piste and downhill skiing are on offer for those interested in winter sports. There are 53 skiing resorts, 1,300 kilometres of pistes, over 300 ski lifts, and the pistes boast an attractive natural setting, against the backdrop of Mont Blanc or Monviso.
Walking
The countryside here is perfect for leisurely walks - through the vineyards, along the rolling hills, from village to village. There are also a number of National Parks within easy reach that have trails if you prefer to be more off the beaten track.
Golf
And golfers need only sling their bags over their shoulders and head for one of more than 40 courses spread out across the region: from Sestriere to the Lago Maggiore to the Mandria park, hunting ground of the Savoy dynasty. A truly great selection of courses in beautiful settings!
